As the New Year and Christmas is upon us I want to share with you why I joined the American Legion. First to try in my own way to apologize and repent to all whom I disappointed, hurt, and mistreated thru out my life. I would like to mend and make right my relationships with my family and friends, and acquaintances. I would like to commit to becoming a better person, and vow to do what is right, no matter how hard it is. My service to you and the American Legion has made this journey a bit easier and I thank you all for that. My Christmas wish is that you all take this opportunity to improve yourselves, and in the process improve all you come in contact with. My New Year’s Resolution is to not dwell on what I have done, but address what I can do.
It is said that there is something more terrifying than death, and that is being forgotten. Here at the Legion we will always remember, and you will never be forgotten. The passing of our members is inevitable, so let us be kind to each other, be respectful, and let go of those old grievances and disputes and embrace the birth of a new year, for all of us.
May the Grace of the Lord
and the service of our Military keep us safe and prosperous in these most
trying of times. God bless you all and God bless this
United States of America.
First of all first of all I would like to thank all members who have paid your dues. We are up over 60% membership today and I'm hoping we can make it 100% this year. Everyone seems to be getting a second notice for their membership dues, I myself have received one also, please check your card prior to paying the dues again! I have several members who have paid twice; your checks are being returned to you with my thanks for paying your dues. As most of you know the door key reader has been changed, in order to get a new card, you must have paid 2017 dues.

Your hearts condition will be expressed through your life. It will be evident by your attitudes, words, and behavior. Jesus said that you can clearly see others only when your own eyes are unobstructed. If your vision is hindered by sin, you will not look at others properly.
How do you look at the words and actions of others? Are you critical of them? Are you judgmental? If so, ask God to purify your heart so you may see others as He does.

We have used all of the Home Depot grant money and we still need a few more things to make our post complete.
1. Carpet upstairs.
2. Smoking area.
3. Paint the outside of building.
I would like to thank all who have donated to the building fund. We are looking for good fund raising ideas to raise the balance. If any can think of new protects let us know.

Have a Great American Day,
Thanks to all who attended our Veterans' Day Ceremony. We had an enthusiastic group who appreciated our Rifle Squad ending it all with three big bangs! And all were fired in unison. We will continue our monthly Honor Guard Brunch and Memorial Ceremony on 18 Dec. Drill and Ceremony practice will be on Tuesday, 20 Dec at 1900. All members of the Legion Family are encouraged to join the Honor Guard. We will practice to enter the competitions at the Department Convention in June.

Happy holidays- I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was full - filling. I would like to thank all who volunteered their time, money, and food to our Free Thanksgiving dinner that was all prepared by our own Chef Papo.
I would like to also thank all our volunteers that helped with a successful day serving beer at Tequesta fest. Although we had a small trailer, we still managed to sell 10 kegs of beer. Thanks so much to Tequesta Brewing Company for their generous donation of beer.
December will be a busy month. Make note of all the important dates on the activities calendar. We have bbqs on the patio, a Christmas parade, wreaths being placed at riverside cemetery, prime rib dinner w/ Wallstreet performing, a Christmas party, New Year’s party and etc.
Please sign up ahead, make a commitment so that we can plan to have enough food and drink for all to enjoy.
Spread the word to all your friends and family that our upstairs hall is available for parties and meetings. We just had the carpets cleaned along with the rest of the room and the facility is looking great again.
Any problems, comments, or questions regarding the canteen and the Hall please feel free to contact me on the legion phone 561-746-9070 or my cell phone 561-601-3225.
Happy Holidays to all of you and your families. May God bless our Legion Family, Our Troops and the United States of America.
